"Hello, fellow beach-lover! Sharon DeAngelo here. Owner and founder of Sea Glass by Sharon - the award-winning sea glass jewelry line."
"I've been enchanted by the New England shores for as long as I can remember... There's something magical about this region's coastal communities! In fact, I live in Newburyport, Massachusetts with my husband & family - walking distance from the beach. My other great love is, well, sea glass! One of the ocean's most precious of gifts."
"You can usually find me seaside, hunting for new finds washed ashore (especially after a good New England storm!), or hard at work in my jewelry studio!"
Since 2013, Sea
Glass by Sharon has been connecting people - just like you - to the
coastline through handmade bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and more. As a
self-taught coastal artist, I've perfected my own unique style of
wire-wrapping; a style which outlines and enhances the natural beauty of
each sea glass piece. This wire-wrapping style has become symbolic of
the Sea Glass by Sharon brand, and it's the reason why beach-lovers
worldwide have fallen in love with my collection!
Each of my
designs are original and 100% handmade, and most feature sterling silver
craftsmanship. Every piece of sea glass in my collection is authentic,
time-tumbled in the Atlantic surf. And each is handpicked from the
shores of New England... by me!"
Local Outer Banks Shopping

Find us in the heart of Hatteras Village on the island of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. You will enjoy our great selection of local Outer Banks, regional, and American made arts, crafts and gifts. Our yarn shop features designer fibers, tools and notions, as well as locally handmade buttons.
Cape Hatteras, Outer Banks, North Carolina
From the ocean to the sound, and the night sky where you can still see the Milky Way, the Outer Banks and the Cape Hatteras National Seashore offer inspirational views, animals in their natural habitat, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over the ocean, and enough wonder and beauty to inspire us every single day.
Jennifer Johnson, Blue Pelican’s owner and Hatteras Village native, creates most of the work in the shop. We also feature work from other local artists/artisans and craftspeople. When we want to share something that we can’t get locally, we look first for North Carolina crafters and then expand our search to American artisans making unique and limited production items.
And…the “and Yarn” part of our name? We have two rooms of the 1950’s house that is home to our local small business, full to the gills with yarn and more. We also have handmade buttons you can’t find anywhere else, kits for crochet, knitting and fiber arts. You should make the trip to see us if you’re in the area, if only to see just how cleverly we have filled up the shop. If you want to learn knitting, weaving, crochet, macrame or any other kind of fiber art, we have a teacher who would love to talk more with you.
