Product Details
Yellow and black Bumble bee finds a daisy on my hand formed red earthenware pottery clay dish. Each is hand formed and individually glazed with the bee and flower design. The underneath is the raw fired clay sanded smooth with a small margin of turquoise blue glaze.

I can see small fruits, spoons, coins or other items displayed nicely on my piece.

All pottery from Clay Lick Creek Pottery is handmade by me in Makanda, IL, using an electric wheel or a slab roller. I use a traditional red earthenware clay (unless noted) for my pottery. Bottoms are trimmed to create a foot ring and are signed and dated. After trimming and drying, I fire in the kiln to cone 04 to bisque it. Afterwards, I dip the pottery into homemade majolica glaze, which is the opaque white background glaze, then I use a brush to paint ceramic colorants onto the raw glaze surface. Then back into the kiln again to cone 05 to seal the glaze surface. Pieces can be used in the microwave for quick warm ups (unless noted) and top rack of the dishwasher (unless noted).

Approx. 6" x 3" in size give or take 1/8"
